IMF: Economy of Caucasus and Central Asia region to reduce by 1%

Based on the updated forecast of the International Monetary Fund for the Caucasus and Central Asia region, the economy of the region will reduce by 1%, "APA-Economics" reports citing the IMF.

The new forecast given for the GDP is less by 5.4 percentage points than the forecast given by the fund in October, 2019.

However, the IMF predicts 4.7% growth of the regional economy in 2021, and this forecast is by 0.4 percentage points higher than the fund’s expectation in the last year.
