As of April 1, 2017, total foreign liabilities of Azerbaijan-based commercial banks stood at AZN 7,099,300,000, down AZN up 350 million or 5.2% from previous year.
Central Bank of Azerbaijan said the external borrowing decreased AZN 211.6 million or 2.89% in April 2017.
Compared to December 2016, the external borrowing increased AZN 86.1 million or 1.19% in March.
As of April 1, 2017, banks’ total foreign assets stood at AZN 3,438,200,000, down AZN 5,119,700,000 or 59.8% in comparison to a year earlier. Compared to previous months, total foreign assets grew AZN 279.2 million or 8.84% in April.
