"There are threats such as food shortage and food crisis in the world. At present, the issue of food safety is very urgent in the world," said Finance Minister Samir Sharifov at the joint meeting of Committees on Public Unions and Religious Institutions, Science and Education, Family, Women, and Children Affairs, Health and Culture Committees of the Milli Majlis, APA reports.

The minister said that in this regard, special attention was paid to the issue of organizing the food supply of our country: "52% of the expenses related to food supply will be directed to food safety. The development of entrepreneurship is always in the spotlight of the state."

Note that considering the attraction of new areas from the liberated territories to the agricultural cycle, the dynamics of the increase in the price of a number of food and non-food products included in the daily needs of the population worldwide, 625.2 million manats have been predicted for food security measures in the Republic of Azerbaijan, which It is 38.6 percent more than in 2022.
