Azerbaijani Ambassador to US comments on Human Rights Watch reports

Azerbaijani Ambassador to the US Elin Suleymanov gave an interview to the radio program of the famous FOX News TV Channel on December 16, Azerbaijani Embassy to the US told APA.

Ambassador spoke about Azerbaijan's successful counter-attack operations against Armenian provocation, noted that Azerbaijan liberated its territories, which were occupied by Armenia already 30 years ago.

Ambassador commented on the reports published by the Human Rights Watch International organization regarding the conflict. Answering claims on so-called "shelling" of a church of Armenians in Shusha city by Azerbaijani military forces, Ambassador noted that as President of the Republic of Azerbaijan noted, Azerbaijani Army has never targeted churches. Noting possibility of damage of church as a result of a coincidence or an explosion, occurred away, Ambassador brought to attention that there has not been any human casualty. He stressed, in contrary, just as covered by the same organization, Armenia used cluster bombs during its attack on territories settled by Azerbaijani civilians and caused death of tens of innocent people.
