Elmar Mammadyarov: "The sooner the peace to come to the region, the better will be for the people"

Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov informed High Representative of European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini about the meeting of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at Vienna on March 29, ONA reports.

Elmar Mammadyarov who informed about it at the press conference with F.Mogherini noted that the sides also looked through Azerbaijan’s assessment of conflict solution: “It was the first official meeting between the Azerbaijani President and the prime minister of Armenia organized by the co-chairs. It was a long meeting, it took more than 2 hours. We have made a statement at the end. This meeting opens up a great opportunity to move forward that we want. The sooner the peace will come to the region, the better it will be for the people”.
