"Azerbaijan is our dear brother. Guiding by two states, one nation, we stand by Azerbaijan in their righteous fight," Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said Saturday as he met with representatives of the press in Ankara at the annual assessment meeting, APA reports citing Anadolu.
Stressing achievement of permanent peace and stability in the Caucasus is the main purpose, Turkish Defense Minister has noted the importance of acceptance of peace, jointly suggested by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, by Armenia: "Understanding the joint peace branch of Mr. Aliyev and Turkish President to Armenia and Armenia's acceptance the branch, taking the opportunity is our wish and desire. It is not an issue of just Azerbaijan-Armenia, it is the whole region's - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Turkey, Russia, Iran - becoming an island of stability as a whole."
