On February 2, at 16:25, unknown persons attempted to cross the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan in the service area of the border outpost of the Border Troops of the State Border Service "Lankaran" located near the village of Sim, Astara district, were detained as a result of the vigilance of the border guard, the press center of the State Border Service told APA.
It was revealed that the detained persons are citizens of Afghanistan- Raja Muhammad, born in 2003, and Zahidullah Medakhil, born in 2006.
Operational-investigative measures regarding the facts are underway.
