International cruise route in Caspian Sea to pass through Azerbaijan

A circular cruise route will be commissioned in five countries bordering the waters of the Caspian Sea (Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Azerbaijan, and Russia), APA-Economics reports citing Kazinform.

At present, countries are doing relevant work in this regard and solving the main issues.

In particular, a cruise liner named "Rus Velikaya" is under construction in Astrakhan for this route.

According to Gasim Tlepov, acting chairman of the Transport Committee of the Ministry of Industry of Kazakhstan, the construction of the ship is expected to be completed next year.

He also unveiled the route of the tourist ship.

Thus, the ship will cover the route from Astrakhan to Aktau, from Aktau to "Avaza", the national tourism zone of Turkmenistan, from there to Amirabad in Iran, and then to Baku and Makhachkala.
