Turkish Minister: “Turkey together with Azerbaijan will produce cargo wagons by the end of year”

“Establishment of production facility regarding the cargo wagons that will be used in the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route is planned. The equipment of the facility that cargo wagons to be produced will be provided by Turkey”, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turhan told to APA’s local bureau.

Minister stated that currently the relevant works are underway: “New and national 150 cargo wagons produced by “Türkiye Demiryolu Makinaları Sanayi A.Ş.” (TÜDEMSAŞ) operating under Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey are used for cargo logistics. Especially work has been started on the production of wagons by TUDEMSAS that can be used between Turkey and Azerbaijan. Two new test wagons will be produced by the end of the year”.
