23 December is non-working day due to municipal elections in Azerbaijan

Due to municipal elections in Azerbaijan, December 23, Monday of the next week is a non-working day, APA reports.

Based on item 2 of clause 8 (Period of appointment of elections (referendum)) of the Election Code, the voting day is not considered a working day on the territory where the election (referendum) is held.

If the voting day falls on the day of national mourning or a holiday which is not considered a working day (except for the case stipulated in the II part of clause 84 of Constitution of Azerbaijan Republic), then the voting day will be appointed for another working day of the month during which the voting should be conducted.

Due to the implementation of municipal elections countrywide, December 23 is a day off work.
