Long-term efficient cooperation exists between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the World Health Organization (WHO), headquarters under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan told APA.
Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan has approved a decision to make financial assistance voluntarily worthed USD 5 mln. to contribute to the international community's efforts to prevent the risk of coronavirus infection to Fund named COVID-19 appeal within the framework of Strategical Preparedness and Response Activities plan of WHO
The Republic of Azerbaijan highly appreciates WHO's efforts to fight against COVID-19 globally. Recommendations of WHO regarding COVID-19 virus are being considered and implemented in Azerbaijan.
Effective cooperation of the Republic of Azerbaijan with WHO continues and the delegation of experts of WHO will visit Azerbaijan on March 8.
