Monitorings to be held for protection from Bird flu

Specialists and employers of the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan and its branches in regions, laboratories of the Azerbaijan’s Food Safety Institution, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, and the Ministry of Health will conduct epizotology monitorings at the end of 2019 - beginning of 2020 to protect the country from highly pathogenic Bird flu, the Food Safety Agency told APA.

Monitorings will be conducted in Absheron peninsula that is termporarily settled by nomadic birds, national parks and reserves and marshlands of Shabran, Salyan, Lankaran, and Aghjabadi disticts, as well as coastal areas of Azerbaijan Republic.

Diagnostic examples from different kinds of domestic birds, kept in large poultry farms with industrial base and backyard and commercial poultry agriculture, have been considered to be taken during the monitoring.
