Deputy Minister: Azerbaijan continues strategic partnership with EU

“Playing a role strategically as a natural bridge between Asia and Europe, Azerbaijan has invested in 4 key corridors east-west, south-north, south-west, and north-west,” speaking at the Batumi International Conference dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Eastern Partnership, Deputy Foreign Minister Mahmud Mammadguliyev said while commenting on the work carried out by Azerbaijan over the past 10 years.

Deputy minister noted that Azerbaijan and EU continue strategical partnership via Southern Gas Corridor: “We have attracted private companies from the Netherlands, Italy, Georgia, Ukraine, Poland, Romania, Germany, Hungary to the logistics field. The New Baku Sea Port will have a capacity of 15 million tons. The potential capacity of the harbour will reach 25 million. China, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam can use our transport and logistics potential in the future,” M. Mammadguliyev stated.
