Mikayil Jabbarov: "It should be accelerated to replace targeted state social assistance with self-employment in the country”

“South Gas Pipeline will change energy map of the region. In oil-gas sector 1.6% increase is forecasted in 2020, while 3% in following three years”, said Ministry of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov in the meeting of Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) today, APA reports.

M.Jabbarov noted that during nine months of this year the number of tourists visiting Azerbaijan exceeds 2.4 mln: “Taking into consideration done works increase of 6% is expected in tourism sector for next year, while 5,6 % increase is expected for next 3 years. Non- oil investments are forecasted to grow by 11% next year amid decline of budget investments. There has been 17% increase in the number of labor contracts recorded during last 10 months. As a result of taken measures, transfer from state budget to the budget of State Social Protection Fund will not happen during upcoming years. However, we consider that it should be accelerated to replace targeted state social assistance with self-employment in the country.”
