"The meeting in this format was held at the beginning of the year, and now it is held at the end of the year, so we can draw conclusions," President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said during a trilateral meeting with President of Russia Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan held on November 26 in Sochi, APA reports.

President Ilham Aliyev emphasized that the situation in the area where Russian peacekeepers are located is generally stable: “There have been no serious incidents or deliberate provocations. There were isolated cases, which were not systemic. Therefore, we thank the Russian peacekeeping forces for their good service. They provide security in the region."

Mr. Aliyev said that Azerbaijan had shown maximum constructiveness in overcoming the consequences of the war and opening communications over the past year: “I think that non-opening of communications is one of the main unfulfilled issues. Because almost all the provisions of the trilateral statement signed in November last year have been implemented. I think that this issue will be discussed at the trilateral meeting, as well as the issue of defining the borders between Azerbaijan and Armenia."
