Immediately after President Ilham Aliyev's groundbreaking ceremony for the Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu-Gashalti-Naftalan highway in the Tartar region on October 3, the Azerbaijan State Agency for Motor Roads began large-scale construction work in the area, APA reports.

The Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu-Gashalti-Naftalan highway is one of the projects implemented in the Karabakh and East Zangazur economic regions on the instructions of the President and will play an important role in the socio-economic development of the liberated regions and villages.

The total length of the road connecting 4 settlements will be 22 kilometers.

According to the order of the President, taking into account the development plan of Karabakh, the 19 km section of the highway is being built in accordance with the II, and the 3 km section in accordance with the IV technical degree. Accordingly, the width of the carriageway under the project will be 9 meters in the 19 km section, 6 meters in the 3 km section, 13 and 10 meters in the width of the landfill, and 2x2 meters in the shoulder sections.

Currently, large-scale construction work is underway along the road. Asphalting works have already been carried out on the first 1.8 km section of the road. In the Talish-Tapgaragoyunlu section of the road, a landfill is being built in accordance with the project. For this purpose, unsuitable soil is excavated at different depths and compacted by counter-filling works. In the parts of the road below the relief, the soil suitable for lifting the soil bed is poured and spread, the roadbed is expanded.
