A group of scientists of Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) have visited the ancient Azykh cave locating in the Khojavand region, liberated from occupation, Vice-President of ANAS, Academician Isa Habibbayli told APA's Karabakh bureau.

According to him, all material evidence in the cave has been taken to the ANAS: "Armenians with foreign scientists have conducted the studies for several years in the Azykh cave. Although they collected the scraps and material evidence in boxes, but could not take it. Delegation of the ANAS has come here in the first days after the end of the war. ANAS employees have taken 90 boxes of the material evidence that Armenians found during the excavations in the Azykh cave to the academy. It has been clear later that our servicemen have also seen other material evidence that Armenians collected in the villages nearby the Azkh cave. As we get information, steps have been immediately taken in this direction by the leadership of ANAS and Institute of Archeology, and all material evidence has been taken to ANAS".
