Total of COVID-19 cases in Uzbekistan rises to 1,692

New 14 COVID-19 cases were confirmed in Uzbekistan by 10.00 a.m. of April 22. This brought the total number to 1,692 cases, the Ministry of Health said, APA reports citing AKIPress.

Chief Sanitary Inspector Nurmat Atabekov said the actions taken in the country to contain the spread of the infection are effective, since the number of detected cases is declining. To keep this trend, citizens should stay home. When they have to go outside, citizens need to limit contacts with other people and to maintain a social distance, he stressed.

100 coronavirus patients are receiving medical care at the clinic of the Virology Research Institute. 34 of them have pneumonia, 4 are in serious condition, 1 in very critical condition.

76 coronavirus patients are being treated at the clinic of the Epidemiology, Microbiology and Infectious Disease Research Institute. 2 of them are in serious condition.

138 patients receive treatment at the clinic of the Tashkent Medical Academy. 46 of them developed pneumonia. 4 are in serious condition, 1 in extremely critical condition.
