Martyred Azerbaijani serviceman buried - UPDATED

Martyred Azerbaijani serviceman has been buried, APA's local bureau reports.

A senior lieutenant of the Azerbaijani Army Mahmudov Rashad Rashid oglu, who was martyred as a result of an attempt by Armenian armed forces to use artillery to seize our positions in the direction of Tovuz on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border on July 13, was buried in his native village of Asagi Jureli, Bilasuvar region.

The leadership of the Executive Power of the region, servicemen, and the public of the region attended the funeral ceremony.

Farewell ceremony for a serviceman of Azerbaijani Army, lieutenant Rashad Mahmudov Rashid, who was martyred as a result of an attempt by Armenian armed forces to use artillery to seize our positions in the direction of Tovuz on the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, APA's local bureau reports.

Body of senior lieutenant of the Azerbaijani Army Mahmudov Rashad Rashid (born in 1992) has been brought to Asagi Jureli village of Bilasuvar district, where he was born.

A farewell ceremony is being held for the Martyr now.

Note that the tension in the Tovuz direction of the Azerbaijani-Armenian state border continued on the night of July 13. During night battles, our units, using artillery, mortars, and tanks have destroyed with accurate fire a strong point, artillery mounts, vehicles, and military personnel on the territory of the enemy’s military unit. During the fighting, a serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army senior lieutenant Mahmudov Rashad Rashid oglu died.
