A Yak-52 light plane flying for the DOSAAF club made a hard landing in the Samara region, a spokesman for the region’s emergency services said, APA reports citing Sputnik.
Two people died after the hard landing of a light-engine Yak-52 aircraft in the Samara region, according to its Emergencies Ministry.
"A report was received about the fall from a low altitude of a Yak-52 aircraft from the Samara Regional Aircraft Club DOSAAF. The plane was making scheduled flights. An instructor and a cadet were on board," the ministry said.
It is noted that as a result of the fall, both aboard were killed. The plane didn't burst into flames upon impact.
