Deputy Chairman of Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev has no plans so far to use his right as a former president to become a lifetime senator, APA reports citing TASS.

"So far, I consider myself a rather young politician and a rather young man on the whole," Medvedev said in an interview with Russian media in response to a question on whether he plans to become a lifetime senator.

He noted that the term "lifetime senator" means that the former president gets this job until the end of his life.

"I think that such decisions should be made at a slightly different age, weighing all the circumstances existing in any man’s life," he explained, stressing that he is dealing with other issues that are more important right now than implementing this idea.
