Antonov: "United States is trying to do maximum damage to Russia"

Washington's actions are motivated by a desire to postpone the special operation in Ukraine by any means, said Anatoly Antonov, Russia's ambassador to the United States, APA reports citing Ria Novosti.

Commenting on the White House's intention to demand additional funding from Congress to ensure an uninterrupted flow of weapons to Ukraine, the head of the diplomatic mission said, "Would it be better to use these funds for ordinary Americans who have been hit?" made a statement.

"It is clear that Washington's actions are motivated by the desire of Russia to eliminate a special operation by any means, which wants to do maximum damage to Russia and fight to the last Ukrainian," Antonov said.
