Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoygu said on Tuesday at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) that its army is slowing down its offensive in Ukraine "deliberately," due to humanitarian corridors being created to let the civilians evacuate, APA reports citing Teletrader.

Shoygu stated that the Russian army is not targeting civilian areas, unlike the Ukrainian military forces. "The identified enemy firing positions and military facilities are hit by precision weapons," he said. Russian officials accused Ukraine of using people as "human shields," without evidence.
