Azerbaijan refuses to participate in Theater festival of CIS countries

The students from Azerbaijan will not participate in the Theater festival of the CIS countries entitled as "GITIS-Master Class 2020" due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) threat, APA’s Moscow correspondent reports.

Azerbaijan has refused participation in the theater festival of the CIS countries planned to be held in Moscow during March 14-19.

Note that Azerbaijan would be represented in this festival by the Fine Arts and Culture University. The university students intended to play Sophocles’ ancient Greek tragedy “King Oedipus” spectacle in the festival held for the third time in a row.

Remind that the "GITIS-Master Class 2020" Theater festival of the CIS countries is held with organizational support of Russia’s Theater Art Institute and Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund of CIS countries, and with support of Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
