“If any candidate suspends struggle before printing of the voting ballots, if possible, we will remove the name of that candidate from the ballot”, Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) said in a statement, APA reports.
The CEC chairman said if removal of candidates name from the voting ballot is not possible, then according to requirement of the Election Code, the candidate’s name will be crossed out: “We always try that the names of the persons having withdrawn their parliamentary candidacies wouldn’t get on the voting ballot”.
