The head of the press service of Azerbaijani MFA Leyla Abdullayeva has commented on the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the MFA told APA.

L. Abdullayeva said that the views sounded by Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan at the meeting of the government on July 23, is the next blow to the negotiation process carried out by mediation of co-chairs of OSCE Minsk group.

“Armenian leadership wants to stop the negotiation process by this. His speeches and statements sounded in previous periods also show that Armenia is against the negotiations process it claims to change the format of the negotiation process. However, the format of negotiations can not be changed.

As an invader and aggressor state, Armenia’s attempts to impose conditions on negotiations are unacceptable.

When it comes to N. Pashniyan’s speech, which contradicts the essence of the talks about the principle of self-determination of the peoples, this is the next attempt to violate and distort the format of the negotiations,” he added.

The spokesperson of MFA Armenia’s such position should be evaluated as deviating from negotiations and OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs should also give a relevant assessment to this: “Co-chairs should take a direct position to Armenia’s this statement which violates the negotiations process.

When it comes to Armenia’s alleged claims of Armenia about Azerbaijan harm civilians, we remind that Armenia conducted bloody ethnic cleansing in the occupied territories of Azerbaijan and Khojali massacre committed in 1992 is known to all of the world.
