More than 85 bln. cubic metres of gas transferred from Shah Deniz to Turkey

Since 2007, up today more than 85 bln. cubic metres of gas was transferred to Turkey’s gas market from Shah Deniz gas condensate field located in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, said Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov in his speech at the first Azerbaijani-Turkey Energy Forum, APA-Economics reports.

According to him, from July 2018, up to December of this year, 13,6 bln. cubic metres of gas was transported to fraternal Turkey via TANAP.

“During the 11 months of this year 5,1bln. cubic metres of gas out of 7,7 bln. cubic metres, transported to Turkey fell on share of TANAP,” the minister noted.

During his speech, the Minister has also touched upon investment activities of Azerbaijan in Turkey on the example of projects such as the STAR Oil Refinery and Petkim: “Azerbaijan’s investment in Turkey is more than USD 19 bln. As President Ilham Aliyev expressed, such amount of fund, the investment could be invested only in the fraternal country.”
