Following the relevant agreement signed between the Republic of Turkiye and the Republic of Azerbaijan, Zakulla Karimov, a representative of the Complex Drilling Works Trust of SOCAR, arrived in the city of Batman, conducted preliminary research, and met with the governor of the city, Ekrem Canalp, to conduct oil exploration drilling on behalf of the Turkish company TPAO, APA-Economics reports citing the Turkish press.
Governor Ekrem Canalp, who talked with SOCAR officials for a while in Batman governorate, was informed about oil exploration activities by company officials.
Zakulla Karimov stated that they planned to carry out the most important drilling works in Batman within the framework of the agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Turkiye at the Oil Reserves Summit held in Istanbul in March.
