The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, came out again this Friday morning in a statement to the media after the massacre with eight killed and 13 wounded in the late hours of yesterday evening near Mladenovic, APA reports citing VOX news.

According to the Serbian media, Vucic considered it an attack on all of Serbia, while adding that every school from now on will have its own police, which will guarantee the lives of the children who go to school.

The head of state also announced that he had requested the return of the death penalty for such crimes, but added that the government and the prime minister had not accepted this request, saying that, apart from Belarus, we would be the only such country. in Europe.

"For the second time in the last 48 hours, we must express our condolences to the people who were criminally murdered tonight. Every word is heavy, redundant and at the same time insufficient. This is an attack on our entire country", said the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, among others.

The first measure according to Vucic will be the deployment of 1,200 policemen, who will be positioned in each of the 330 schools in the country.

When it comes to the control of gun owners, the President said that the decisions made will follow with the disarmament of Serbia. He warned of a review of the conditions for carrying weapons from owner to owner, but also significantly harsher penalties not only for those who carry them carelessly or illegally, but also for those who deal with sales and resale.

"The Ministry of Interior should immediately impose a moratorium on the release of any weapons for the next two years, including hunting weapons. The MIA is ordered that all persons who have weapons without a permit hand them over within the next month, or brutal sanctions will follow," continued Vucic.
