The volume of trade turnover between Azerbaijan and European Union (EU) countries amounted to $ 9,332 billion in 2020 and this is $3,598 bln. or 27,8% less compared to 2019, according to calculations conducted by APA-Economics based on the figures published by State Statistics Committee.
During the reporting period, compared to the same period of 2019, the volume of exports decreased by 35,2% to $ 6,800 billion, while imports increased by 4,1% to $ 2,531 billion.
In 2020, there was a positive trade balance of $ 4,269 billion, which decreased by $ 3,799 billion or 47,1% compared to 2019.
