Azerbaijan made social payments to 1.7 million people during pandemic - World Bank

During the Covid-19 pandemic, Azerbaijan provided access to social payments to 1.7 million people, said Sarah Michael, World Bank's Azerbaijan manager, APA reports.

Sara Michael also said that progress has been made in Azerbaijan's healthcare sector during the pandemic.

"Strengthening systems and resilience are highly interconnected, so investing in human development systems both improves long-term human capital outcomes and protects people from crises," added S. Michael.
