Chinese President: I attach great importance to development of Sino-Azerbaijani relations

President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping has sent a letter to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, APA reports.

The congratulation letter reads:

"Dear President,

I sincerely congratulate you on your birthday and express my best wishes.

In recent years, there has been a dynamic development of Sino-Azerbaijani relations, and mutual political trust is strengthening day by day. Cooperation between the two countries on the "One Belt, One Road" project, as well as interaction in the international arena, is developing successfully and effectively. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, China and Azerbaijan have been showing the strong friendship between the two peoples and sincerely helping each other. I attach great importance to the development of Sino-Azerbaijani relations, and I am ready to work with you to deepen bilateral friendship and cooperation, mutually beneficial partnership in various fields for the benefit of our countries and peoples.

I wish you good health and prosperity."
