President of the UN General Assembly, Chairman of the 75th Session Volkan Bozkir will visit Turkey, Qatar, and Azerbaijan on April 1-12, the spokesman for the President of the UN General Assembly Brenden Varma said at the briefing, APA reports quoting Anadolu Agency.
According to him, during his visit to Turkey, the President of the UN General Assembly will meet with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Parliament Speaker Mustafa Shantop, and Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu.
Bozkir will address the Parliament on global crises, multilateralism, and the United Nations.
The spokesman noted that Bozkir will visit the Hatay region and meet with Syrian refugees.
After completing his visit to Turkey, he will visit Qatar and Azerbaijan.
In Baku, the President is expected to be received by H.E. Mr. Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and hold meetings with H.E. Mr. Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister for Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Ms. Sahiba Gafarova, Chair of the Parliament (Milli Majlis).
