Azerbaijani FM Jeyhun Bayramov met wit his Lithuanian counterpart Gabrielius Landsbergis within the framework of the 29th meeting of the OSCE Council of Foreign Ministers, MFA told APA.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the actual issues of the cooperation agenda between the two countries and the current situation in the region.
It was noted Azerbaijan and Lithuania have a profitable cooperation agenda in various fields, including political, economic, educational, humanitarian, etc. The significance of mutual visits and political dialogs in the development of relations was stressed at the meeting. Besides, the parties discussed Azerbaijan’s relations with the EU and works done in this framework.
Azerbaijani FM gave detailed information to his counterpart about the new realities that emerged in the region after the 44-Day War, restoration and construction work done in the liberated territories during the post-conflict period, opening communication and transport, as well as the steps taken by Azerbaijan to advance peace agenda.
