An open and result-oriented exchange of views was held at the 5th meeting of the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia in Brussels, said Charles Michel, the President of the Council of the European Union, after the tripartite meeting with the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan in Brussels, APA reports.
He noted that the parties focused on the progress achieved in the normalization of Azerbaijan-Armenia relations, and the leaders shared a common willingness for a South Caucasus at peace.
"I commend their respective efforts. Together, we reviewed all issues on our agenda. Following the recent positive talks held in the United States on the peace treaty, the momentum should be maintained to take decisive steps towards the signing of a comprehensive peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
