On January 31, 2023, Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Khusrav Noziri, called the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, and strongly condemned the armed attack on the embassy of our country in Iran, and extended his condolences in connection with the killing of the embassy employee, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan (MFA) told APA.
Secretary-General Khusrav Noziri strongly condemned this act, which is a gross violation of international legal norms, including the "Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations", and said that it is necessary to bring the criminal to justice in a short period of time.
Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressing his gratitude to the opposite side for his support noted that Azerbaijan will take all necessary measures to bring the perpetrators of this treacherous terrorist act and their patrons to justice, which resulted in the death of 1 employee and the injury of 2 people. He stressed that the receiving side has an obligation to prevent such attacks.
