“Today the situation is complicated not only in South Caucasus but also in the whole world,” previous chairperson of Parliament of Georgia Nino Burjanadze, who attended the 10th Global Baku Forum, said in response to APA's question about regional security.
She noted that after the war in Ukraine, the region and the world faced various threats and struggles.
“The war that Russia wage in Ukraine affects our region and the world at the same time. I believe that all steps should be taken to end this war. Of course, a deadlock is observed. Our region - Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Armenia has serious problems. Two areas of Georgia- Abkhazia, and Ossetia are under invasion and there are Russian forces in those areas. Generally, the situation concerns us,” said N. Burjanadze.
