Co-rapporteurs of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) will visit Azerbaijan, APA reports citing Press Service of PACE.
It was said that co-rapporteurs of the PACE for the monitoring of Azerbaijan Ian Liddell-Grainger (United Kingdom, EC/DA) and Lise Christoffersen (Norwegian Labor Party) will make a fact-finding visit to Azerbaijan.
The purpose of the visit of the co-rapporteurs, who will be visiting Azerbaijan on June 3-7, is to assess the fulfillment of Azerbaijan's obligations to the Council of Europe after the adoption of PACE Resolution 2184 (2017).
Co-rapporteurs will meet in Baku with the Azerbaijani Presidential Administration, Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Justice, as well as representatives of judicial bodies. Meetings will be held with the Speaker of the Parliament, leaders of the political parties represented in the Parliament, and the delegation of Azerbaijan to the PACE.
During the visit, they will also meet with representatives of civil society.
