"Brutality, as well as Khojaly genocide, committed by Armenia still maintain their places in minds," said Turkey's National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar while his speech at Turkish Parliament, APA reports.
He said that Azerbaijan took an action on September 27 in order to prevent Armenian attacks and liberate territories from occupation: "Azerbaijani territories were liberated from occupation with a victorious counter-attack, which lasted for 44 days but will be talked about for 44 years, maybe more, and a ceasefire statement was signed on November 10. Our President conducted negotiations with Russian President Putin regarding conditions and durability of the ceasefire, provided with necessary support in the ceasefire statement."
He reminded that November 8, when Shusha was liberated, will be celebrated as Victory Day in Azerbaijan instead of November 10, which is a death date of Ataturk: "I express gratitude to all Azerbaijani brothers, especially Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, for the sensitivity. Thus Azerbaijan demonstrated that we are together in happiness and sorrow with the notion of "one nation, two states" once more. Turkey will continue to stand by Azerbaijani brothers with all opportunities from now."
