Armenian football players insulting Azerbaijani flag 2 years ago, detained at “Lachin” BCP

3 Armenian football players who insulted the Azerbaijani flag in 2021 have been detained at the "Lachin" border checkpoint, APA reports.

In 2021 videos were published in some mass media and on various pages on social networks in which Armenian football players committed offensive acts against the Azerbaijani flag in 2021.

They disrespected flag in video and criminal cases were initiated against them since then for hate incitement and symbol disrespect by the Prosecutor General of Azerbaijan under Articles 283.2.3 (when incitement of national, racial, social or religious hatred and enmity is committed by an organized group) and 324 (insulting actions against the State Flag of the Republic of Azerbaijan or the State Coat of Arms of the Republic of Azerbaijan) of the Criminal Code.
