In 2022, 1,5 million tons of cargo were transported across the Caspian Sea, said Gaidar Abdikerimov secretary-general of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route association (TITR), APA-Economics reports.
According to him, these shipments were carried out on the Kazakhstan-Azerbaijan route through the ports of Aktau, Kurik, Alat and Hovsan:
"Transports on this route have increased 8 times".
