# 10 August 2020 00:03 (UTC +04:00)

In connection with the works of expansion of Baku-Sumgait automobile road and due to demolition and construction over again of the railway bridge situated on Khyrdalan circle, the movement of the electric trains in the direction of Baku-Khyrdalan-Sumgait has been suspended from today, the press service of the Azerbaijan Railway CJSC told APA.

The trains will not run from August 10 until November 10. Therefore, during the mentioned period, electric trains will not run in the direction of Bilejeri and Khyrdalan.

The works of expansion of Baku-Sumgait road are implemented by the State Agency of Azerbaijan Automobile Roads. Meanwhile, the railway bridge situated on the Khyrdalan circle creates obstacles to the expansion works. Therefore, the old bridge will be demolished and a new single-span arched railway bridge will be built instead of it.

During the period of construction of the bridge, the passengers going to Sumgait or coming to Baku therefrom will be able to use the electric trains running in the direction of Baku-Pirshagi-Sumgait.
