Azerbaijan is represented in Tbilisi Silk Road Forum

An international Silk Road Forum under the motto “Partnership for Global Impact” is held in Tbilisi, Georgia, APA’s Georgian bureau reports.

Noted that mission of the forum, held for the third time, is to contribute to the discussion of the problems, which the countries, located on the New Silk Road face with, in commercial, communication, logistics fields and find joint solutions for the region by gathering high level politicians, businessmen, and community leaders.

Azerbaijan is represented by the Minister of Transport, Communication, and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade and his deputy Elmir Valizade, SOCAR’s Vice-President Yashar Latifov, Chairman of the Azerbaijan Railways JSC Javid Gurbanov, and business representatives in the forum.

Minister Ramin Guluzade will attend to the panel discussions entitled “Emerging trends, Security and Sustainability of Silk Road Energy Belt” to be held in the framework of the forum.

In the first day of the forum artificial intelligence and its role and influence on global economy, increase of security along energy corridors, trade, transportation, and energy issues will be discussed in various panels. Private sector and investment opportunities will be discussed in the second day of the international event.

Growth opportunities of the cargo transportation through Trans-Caspian International Transportation Route and done works in this field will also be discussed in panel discussions.

Note that about 2 thousand participants are expected to attend the “Tbilisi Silk Road Forum: Partnership for Global Impact" forum this year.

SOCAR is one of the organizers of the forum, which was held in 2017 and 2015 before.
