Terrestrial broadcasting of TRT-1 suspended in Azerbaijan

Baku Office of the General Directorate of the Turkish Radio and Television Corporation appealed to Radio-Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications ”Production Union on suspension of terrestrial broadcasting TRT-1, Radio-Television Broadcasting and Satellite Communications told APA-Economics.

The appeal notes that the TRT-1's broadcasting in Azerbaijan via cable television and the Internet is considered sufficient.

“For that reason, as allocation of additional funds for terrestrial broadcasting is not considered expedient, it was asked to suspend terrestrial broadcasting of TRT-1 from 2022,” the Union says.
