“The Armenian lobby and Armenia that plunged into difficult situation had to employ services of Kim Kardashyan”, said Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of Foreign Policy Issues Department of the Administration Hikmat Hajiyev at a press conference held today, APA reports.
He said when Armenia got into difficult situation it started to target civil facilities again: “Similarly to Khojaly, the residential facilities of Azerbaijan were targeted. The Azerbaijani Army silenced Armenia’s firing positions. Unfortunately, a civil person aged 76 was killed. As a result of the brave measures taken by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces, the blow that was intended to be launched on the civil population was prevented. By the order of President Ilham Aliyev, the evaluation of the damage caused to civil population and state property is being conducted. These attacks of Armenia are contradicting with international documents and agreements. Along with Armenia’s bearing of responsibility for these actions committed by it, the military and political leaders of Armenia also bear criminal responsibility according to international law”.
The assistant to the President of Azerbaijan noted that Armenia’s firing positions have been deliberately placed inside residential settlements: “Thereby, they were trying to turn civil facilities into targets. As a result of accurate blows launched by the Azerbaijani Army, this intention also failed. The targeting of the critical infrastructure hasn’t been envisaged by the Azerbaijan Armed Forces. But Armenia declared that they have envisaged to target critical infrastructures on Azerbaijan’s territory”.
