"After the publication of the nucleotide sequence of the new coronavirus, I started to work on the vaccine against this deadly virus. I am concerned that the virus has been registered on the border with countries around the world, including Iran and Azerbaijan. That is why I am now working hard to develop a vaccine against this virus," Professor of the Akdeniz University of Turkey, corresponding member of ANAS Tarlan Mammadov told APA.

He stated that he started research several weeks ago: “My purpose is to create an effective protein-based vaccine against coronavirus. Target proteins against coronavirus have been determined as a result of the investigations. These protein antigens will be synthesized in leaves of green plants.”

The scientist stated scientists from all countries around the world are trying to find a vaccine against coronavirus: “The world population is at risk. That is why I decided to make my contribution to this work. I plan to develop the vaccine within 3-4 months.”
