Blood demand increases in Azerbaijan, Central Blood Bank appeals to citizens

Central Blood Bank has appealed to citizens, Blood Bank told APA.

Increase of coronavirus infection cases in the country due to the COVID-19 pandemic has increased blood demand of people, suffering from Thalassemias, Haemophilia, Leukemia, as well as a severe form of coronavirus (COVID-19): "These days, it is important for healthy people to show solidarity and help patients in need of blood, and to donate blood.

Blood Banks are open 24 hours a day. Special measures have been taken for sterility and other necessary safety.

We would like to inform you that if there is a delay in the blood donation process, donors will be provided with a certificate stating the reason for the delay.

Citizens in need of blood are waiting for their saviors. Come and save lives!"
