Demining issues of the liberated territories from occupation discussed

A meeting of the Working Group on Demining and unexploded ordnance of Interdepartmental Center under the Coordination Headquarters established by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been held in order to solve issues in centralized manner in the liberated territories, APA reports.

Chairman of the Board of the Mine Action Agency Vugar Suleymanov gave detailed information regarding the work implemented by the National Agency for Mine Action, guided by the relevant instructions of the head of state. Alongside with the interested bodies that are members of the Working Group, leaders of “Azerbaijan Railways” CJSC, “Azerbaijan Airlines” CJSC, “Azerenergy” OJSC, “Azerishig” OJSC that implement infrastructure projects in the liberated territories from the occupation, have also attended the meeting.

The detailed information has been provided about the progress of demining operations carried out regarding the priority projects implemented and planned by the representatives of the National Agency for Mine Action of the Republic of Azerbaijan which implements the work on demining and unexploded ordnance in the liberated territories from occupation, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as construction of railways and highways, communication lines and construction of Fuzuli airline. It was noted that work implemented in this direction should be carried out within the framework of Working Group always in close coordination.
