Strong winds, blizzards, and roads to be closed to ice - WARNING

The weather is expected to change in Baku and Absheron peninsula from the evening of January 19 to the evening of January 21, and in some places, the rain is expected to turn sleet and snow, the National Hydrometeorological Service told APA.

North-west wind will increase by 15-20 m / s, sometimes to 23-28 m / s. The temperature will gradually fall by 5-8 degrees compared to the previous days. It is expected that there will be a blizzard from January 20 to 21 in the afternoon, and the roads will be closed to the ice at night on January 21-22.

The weather is expected to be sporadically rainy, snowy in some places, intensive, and strong in some areas from January 18 in the afternoon to January 21 in the western regions of Azerbaijan. West wind will increase by 15-20 m / s, sometimes to 25-30 m / s in some places. The temperature will gradually fall by 5-10 degrees compared to the previous days. It is expected that there will be a blizzard on January 20-21, and roads in mountainous and foothill areas will be closed to ice.
