Monitoring to be held on health condition of adopted children in Azerbaijan

A monitoring will be carried out related to mental, physical, psychological condition of adopted children in Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to the information, addition of a new 119-1 article, called “Monitoring after adoption”, is suggested to be added to the Family Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to the 119-1.1 paragraph of the new article, relevant Executive Power body will conduct monitoring in order to learn mental, physical, and psychological, as well as life condition of adopted child in the family once a quarter in the first year of adoption, and not less than once a year in the following years until he will be 18.

Amendment of the Code will be discussed in Azerbaijani Parliament (Milli Majlis) soon.
